Here’s a preview of an iPhone and iPod app that I’m working on, tentatively titled Pixie. It’s a fun little tool for making pixel-based art and animations.
I submitted my entry for Kokoromi’s Gamma IV event Sunday night. The image above isn’t from my game, but it’s made of stuff from my game. I had a lot of fun scrambling to put something together, and I definitely learned a lot. I’m hoping to polish and release it on its own very soon. Until then, keep… watching… the skies!
Taking inspiration from Petri Purho’s work (inspired by Jared Tarbell’s invader fractal), I thought I’d try generating some random invaders of my own. Once things started looking invader-y enough, I decided to have a little fun by writing an app that builds invader photomosaics. I’ll eventually make the mosaic generator available as a web toy for all to play with. Until then:
